Family Carers Ireland is thrilled and honoured to be named alongside some amazing charities in the shortlist for the Charity of the Year award at Charity Institute Ireland’s Charity Excellence Awards 2023.

The awards aim to highlight and reward excellence within the charity sector. The categories reflect the full spectrum of those who work in the industry in charities big and small, from trustees to fundraisers, members of the finance team to corporate partners.

From over 100 submissions spanning 11 diverse categories, 40 have been chosen as finalists with FCI shortlisted for Charity of the Year alongside Barnardos, Barretstown, CUH Charity, Debra Ireland, Irish Red Cross, Irish Refugee Council and Marie Keating Foundation.

You can read FCI's submission here.

While the Charity of the Year will be decided by a judging panel, the public gets to vote in the People’s Choice Award which “reflects the voice of the entire charity community”. Please lend your support by casting your vote for FCI here before 11:59 pm on the 10th of October. Those who submit votes will go into a draw to win an Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation.

The winners will be announced at an event in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin on Wednesday the 11th of October.
